The K in 5000k stands for Kelvin, a measurement of temperature. 5000k would be commonly known as daylight white, as this is the color of light the sun puts out during the day. Then in the morning and evenings the light color is 3000-4500k more yellow in nature, you may have herd this referred to as "the golden hour"
