The E26 Medium Base designation refers to the base/socket type for the bulb. E26 is the most common North American base type. It is a xxxx -in base approximately 1 inch in diameter. There are many three-way bulbs available in an E26 base.
This adapter allows E26 base lamps to be used in the larger E39/EX39 socket. Any E26 base lamp should work with it just fine.
