You technically can use that bulb, but it may be "overkill" for a standard living space.
Unless you are trying to illuminate a very large garage or an open workspace with a single floor lamp, the brightness might be overwhelming. Additionally, high-output bulbs are often physically larger and generate more heat than standard lamps are designed to handle.
For a very bright but comfortable indoor environment, I recommend a standard high-lumen household LED (typically 2,500–3,000 lumens). It will be safer for the fixture and much easier on the eyes.
