Looking to use this in a slightly different way. Is it possible to drill a roughly 1.5” hole in the other end to mount a cord and bulb fixture? Thinking you can drill it since it is plastic. I am looking for replacement lamps for portable light towers, the numbers on the bulbs are as follows; 1000W, M47/E, R, MH1000/U/MOG. The tip of the bulb when installed is supported by a wire spider, the bulb diameter at the tip needs to be 2.25" This dimension is not listed in the specs and would like to be sure before ordering any bulbs.
